Rick is a veteran entrepreneur, philanthropist and the Chief Development Officer of Sustainable Living Innovations. He is also the founder of Renova Capital, a leading Denver-based private equity firm specializing in sustainable infrastructure development. Rick was the founding CEO & Chairman of Main Street Power Company (now AES Distributed Energy), a pioneering solar company that developed over $500 million of solar assets while launching the industry’s first residential solar leasing fund. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tallman established a reputation as a successful entrepreneur by founding and leading a variety of early-stage companies through initial public offering or acquisition. Among these, CET Environmental was a leading superfund remediation firm, Water Quality Management, a pioneer of municipal water utility privatization, and WebFamilies, one of the very first internet photo community sites. Mr. Tallman served as a Company Commander in the US Army during the Persian Gulf War, serves on a variety of corporate and non-profit boards and frequently lectures on the subjects of social entrepreneurship and sustainability. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Geologic and Hydrologic Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, where he currently serves on the Board of Governors.
