Lauren Westmoreland is the Policy Program Director for Enterprise Green Communities. She collaborates with the Green Communities Team, Enterprise's 11 market offices and Enterprise's Rural and Native American Initiative to align our national agenda with state, regional and local policy needs. Lauren develops and executes the Enterprise's Green Communities policy agenda to advance the adoption of green affordable housing practices across the country.
Lauren joined Enterprise in 2019, with more than 10 years in the green building sector. Prior to joining Enterprise, Lauren spent five years at the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA), serving as the director of the built environment portfolio. In this role, she led policy efforts to improve state and local building energy codes, and created a variety of training efforts for the design and construction industry. Lastly, she led Department of Energy funded research that determined the baseline of building energy code compliance for Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia.
Lauren received a B.S. in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master's in architecture from North Carolina State University. She is a registered North Carolina architect.
