Emily has over 15 years of experience learning the nuances of various certification programs and their impacts on clients and project teams having worked at for U.S Green Building Council, ENERGY STAR, NAHB Green and the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program. She has deep experience in material health and vetting environmental product claims. Now as the Sustainability Manager at GCI General Contractors, Emily advises project teams on meeting goals related to materials procurement, waste diversion, deconstruction and reuse strategies, and indoor air quality, among other topics. In 2020, Emily is serving on the LEED Materials and Resources Technical Advisory Group and on the USGBC Global Health and Wellness Advisory Board. When she is not advancing circularity and sustainability in Bay Area workplaces, she can be found exploring the region's trails, campsites, and beaches with her husband and their two boys.
